Florida Healthcare Law Firm continues major growth trajectory with addition of Attorney Michael G. Silverman

DELRAY BEACH, Fla., March 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Michael G. Silverman, an attorney with extensive experience in DMEPOS and pharmacy business formations and transactions developed his deep knowledge from his time as in house counsel to one of the nation’s largest providers of DMEPOS and pharmaceuticals.

“For years, we’ve had a hole in our practice with pharmacy clients needing help with pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) issues.  Not anymore!  Michael is a PBM expert, and a fantastic resource for not only our pharmacy clients, but also our durable medical equipment (DME) clients,” said Jeff Cohen, who is board certified as a specialist in healthcare law and founded the Florida Healthcare Law Firm in 2008. Cohen goes on to say, “In the DME space, he’ll be joining Attorney Susan St. John in handling a variety of DME issues, including ZPIC audits and related matters.  Michael will be heading the firm’s PBM activities and working extensively on the transactional and corporate issues affecting both pharmacies and DME companies.  We’re very excited to have him on our team!”

Prior to joining the firm Michael served as the General Counsel and Compliance Officer to a nationally licensed mail order DMEPOS and pharmaceutical provider. He will focus his practice on counseling healthcare business owners on regulatory issues including CMS DMEPOS Accreditation Organization Certification, VIPPS and URAC Pharmacy Accreditations, Licensing Permits, Contracting with State, Federal and Private Payors, Buying or Selling a DMEPOS or Pharmacy, State and Federal Regulatory Considerations for Marketing, Telemarketing/Call Center Liability, Audits & Inspections, HIPAA Issues and Administrative Complaints.

Michael will be featured in an upcoming webinar for Firm clients & friends entitled “Chiropractic Practice Expansion: Adding DMEPOS to your Treatment Arsenal.” Registration is free and available by clicking HERE.
