Law firms rank among ‘best of the best’ in real estate

Four law firms with a West Michigan presence have been ranked among the top 10 Midwest firms for their real estate practices.

Midwest Real Estate News has released its 2017 “Best of the Best” ranking, and Dickinson Wright, Clark Hill, Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn and Warner Norcross & Judd all made the ranking.

More than 60 commercial real estate law practices in the Midwest participated in the ranking, which culminated in a list of the top 32 firms. The ranking was calculated based on the total dollar volume of transactions completed in 2016, according to Midwest Real Estate News.

Detroit-based Dickinson Wright, which has an office in Grand Rapids, ranks highest, No. 3, among firms with a West Michigan presence.

“For three years in a row, we’ve been among the top three law firms and that is a testament to our outstanding team of real estate attorneys that work alongside our clients, day in and day out,” said Harlan Robins, practice department manager for real estate, environmental, energy and sustainability, Dickinson Wright.
