Al Sulaiti Law Firm has celebrated its 15th anniversary at a ceremony attended by HE the Minister of Justice Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr al-Mohannadi, a number of dignitaries and ambassadors of different countries.
The celebration also marked the opening of the company’s new office in Doha Tower, Dafna.
Mubarak bin Abdullah al-Sulaiti, chairman of Al Sulaiti Law Firm, said: ‘I would like to express my sincere happiness at completing 15 years of success and excellence. Over the past 15 years, the firm has been keen to select the best staff to join it.
The firm has ‘reached a high level of professionalism and also seen ‘huge expansion at the headquarters in Doha, he noted.
The company has some 50 employees. Offices of the firm have been opened in several other countries as well.
Since its establishment in 2002, the firm has introduced many initiatives aimed at providing community services, especially charitable initiatives, such as providing free legal consultants for the poor and representing them before courts.
In addition, the firm has been keen to encourage law graduates to join the legal profession and prepare programmes for them during their studies and after graduation.
In this regard, practising lawyer Iman Darwish at Al Sulaiti Law Firm and Aisha al-Muraikhi at Qatar University were the legal attorneys for both the plaintiff and the defendant in a case related to the siege.
The case was related to the signing of a contract between a company specialised in the import of medical devices and drugs to provide medical supplies.
The company was late in providing the supplies.
Al-Sulaiti said, “Al Sulaiti Law Firm was established in 2002. During these years, we started to provide our services to individuals and small businesses, and did our best to serve our clients. Our staff includes 50 employees from different cultures, which has enabled us to be one of the largest legal firms in Qatar.
Our steps have been consistent to maintain this success and strengthen our international presence. We have established a branch in India and another one in Italy, and are planning to expand in the future.
