Mainland firms interested in GMH private-public partnership

Three off-island groups have responded to a request for information related to the possible private-public partnership of the Guam Memorial Hospital. Earlier this year Bill 277 became law directing GEDA to develop the RFI and whether a private ownership by a hospital investment group will provide cost-effective management of medical care services for the people of Guam.

The three companies to respond were Eiikon from Miami, Florida; Strategic Global Management from Riverside, California; and Cormin Global Consulting Group from Charlotte, North Carolina.

The results of the RFI have since been transmitted to the Governor’s Office and the Guam Legislature to determine the next steps in development an actual request for proposal.
