One of Cincinnati’s largest law firms has hired a new partner from a large New York firm.

Taft Stettinius & Hollister hired Peter Solimine as a partner in the business and finance group. Solimine comes to Taft after serving as a partner at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease in Cincinnati and an associate at Latham & Watkins, based out of New York. Solimine will practice out of the Cincinnati office.

“Peter is an outstanding addition to our team of more than 125 business and finance attorneys across the Midwest,” Taft Partner-in-Charge James Zimmerman said in a news release. “With his extensive corporate work and broad industry reach, he brings immediate value to our regional, national and international clients. We are delighted that Peter chose to bring his breadth and depth of experience to Taft.”

Solimine’s practice focuses on representing borrowers and lenders in financing transactions, and public and private companies in general corporate matters. He has represented multi-national, national and regional commercial banks, investment banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions, as well as borrowers and issuers in a variety of finance transactions.
