Law firm relocates office

The Holland office of a local law firm has moved to a smaller but more flexible space in the building next door.

Warner Norcross & Judd’s Holland location moved last month to a new office at 99 E. 8th St., next door to its former location at 85 E. 8th St.

Jennifer Remondino, the executive partner who heads up the downtown Holland office, said the space has a 35-percent smaller footprint than the former site, but the attorneys’ offices and conference rooms are about the same size. She also said the floor plan is more efficient.

“We are very pleased with our new space, which features a layout that allows our attorneys and staff to work together more effectively,” Remondino said. “Coming from offices that had a very traditional and dated feel, this new space relies on glass walls and lots of windows to promote a very open feel that encourages collaboration.

“We look forward to welcoming clients and the community to our new home for a visit.”

Layout

The new workspace features several elements: nine attorney offices; three conference rooms, two of which are separated by glass panels that can be opened to create a meeting space for more than 20 people; an open collaboration workspace; and glass walls that allow light to pass through the office.

Staff

The office currently has three attorneys, two paralegals, a business manager and three legal assistants.

Remondino said the firm plans to hire another attorney this month and is looking forward to eventually reaching full capacity.

Areas of specialty

The office will serve clients in the lakeshore market as well as throughout Michigan and the U.S.

Remondino said all eight of Warner Norcross’ locations are designed to offer a full range of services.

“Each office operates in the same way. We are collaborative and share expertise,” she said.

“In this office, we have done work with document and records management. (Warner Norcross Partner) Mark Harder and I handle private and family office clients, specializing in wealth management, which includes estate planning, business and real estate.”

Landlord

The firm is leasing the new space from Eighth Street Partners after the ownership of the previous building changed hands.

“It was critical for us to maintain a presence in Holland’s core business district,” Remondino said.

Firms on the project

The architect for the office build out was GMB Architecture + Engineering.

GMB also partnered with Mary Dixon, of Ada-based Dixon Interior Design, on the interior design.

Holland-based Lakewood Construction was the contractor.
